Mobile app development company. iOS and Android, one team.
A mobile app development company designs, builds and publishes apps for iPhone and Android, then keeps them running as phones and stores change. yop is a mobile app development company in Tallinn: we plan the app with you, build it cross-platform or native, put it in the App Store and Google Play, and the code and store accounts stay in your name.
Mobile apps
What work does a mobile app development company take on?
A mobile app development company turns an idea or an internal process into an app people install: it plans the features, designs the screens, writes the app and the server behind it, tests it on real devices and publishes it in the App Store and Google Play. After launch it ships updates, because every new iOS and Android version changes something.
Most of the apps we build are for companies: field teams filling in reports on site, customers reordering in two taps, members checking bookings, staff approving requests away from a desk. Many of them share a backend with a web app or a CRM built on the same floor.
- Customer apps. Ordering, booking, loyalty and account apps for your own customers.
- Field and staff apps. Work orders, checklists, photos and signatures, working offline on site.
- Companion apps. The phone side of a SaaS product or a web platform.
- MVP apps. A first version with the one feature that proves the idea, ready for real users.
What we build
From the first screen to the store page.
Product discovery
Who uses the app, for what, and which three features matter on day one. It ends with a feature list and a fixed price for the first release.
UX and UI design
Screens designed for thumbs, small screens and a weak signal, tested as a clickable prototype on your own phone before any code.
Cross-platform and native apps
Usually one Flutter or React Native codebase serves both stores; Swift and Kotlin come in when the app depends heavily on the phone’s hardware.
Backend and APIs
The server, database, login and admin panel behind the app, plus links to your CRM, ERP or payment provider.
Store launch
App Store and Google Play listings, screenshots and the review process handled, in every language you sell in.
Updates and support
OS updates, crash monitoring and new features after launch, at a fixed monthly price or per release.

How it runs
Five steps to the stores.
Discover
A workshop on users, features and risks. You get a feature list and the price of the first release.
Prototype
Clickable screens on your phone. Changing your mind here costs an afternoon, not a sprint.
Build
We work in two-week sprints and put a fresh test version on your phone at the end of each.
Launch
Store listings, review, release, and crash monitoring switched on.
Grow
Updates, new features and the marketing that brings installs, if you want us to stay.
Cost and timing
Mobile app budget: what drives the price of a build?
The price depends on the number of screens and user roles, whether the app needs its own backend, which systems it connects to and how much has to work offline. yop does not bill by the hour: after a short discovery you get a fixed price for each phase, starting with the first release, so the budget is known before development starts.
A lean first release with a handful of screens is normally in the stores a few months after the first workshop. Apps with payments, several user roles or complex integrations take longer, and we split them into releases so something useful ships early.

Questions
Asked before the first build.
What work does a mobile app development company take on?
A mobile app development company plans, designs, builds, tests and publishes apps for iOS and Android, and maintains them after launch. yop also builds the backend, the admin panel and the integrations the app needs.
What decides the cost of developing a mobile app?
Screens, user roles, the backend and the integrations set the price. yop gives a fixed price per phase after a short discovery, so you know the cost of the first release before development starts.
From workshop to store listing, how many months does a mobile app need?
Plan on a few months between the first workshop and a lean first version in the stores. Larger apps are split into releases so the first one reaches users early.
Should we build native or cross-platform?
For most business and customer apps, cross-platform with Flutter or React Native is faster and cheaper, because one codebase serves iOS and Android. Native Swift and Kotlin pay off when an app is graphics-heavy or relies on device hardware.
Are the source code and the store accounts ours?
Yes. yop opens the code repository, the App Store and Google Play developer accounts and the hosting in your company’s name and works in them as a guest.
Another team built our app. Can yop take it over?
Yes. First we review the code and the store listings and fix whatever stops updates. Then we either keep the app running or rebuild it step by step.
Can one app serve users in several languages?
Yes. Our apps run in English, Turkish, Estonian, German, Finnish, French, Spanish and Arabic, right-to-left included, and we write the store listing for each language.
