UI/UX design services. Clear screens, fewer questions.

UI/UX design services shape how a product works and how it looks: what users see first, how they get a job done and where they get stuck. yop designs apps, SaaS products and websites in Tallinn, from research and wireframes to a design system developers can build from, and we design and ship our own products too.

UI and UX

UI design versus UX design: what does each one cover?

UX design is how a product works: the steps a user takes, the information on each screen, the order of decisions and what happens when something goes wrong. UI design covers the look and feel: layout, typography, colour, buttons, states and motion. Good UX with poor UI looks untrustworthy; good UI with poor UX looks fine and still loses users.

We do both, in that order. A flow is tested as a grey wireframe before any colour is added, because changing a flow at that stage is cheap and changing it after development is not.

  • Research. Interviews, analytics and session recordings to find where people struggle.
  • Structure. Information architecture, user flows and wireframes.
  • Interface. Visual design, components, states and accessibility.
  • Handoff. A design system and annotated files developers can build from.

What we design

Six deliverables you can build from.

01

UX audit

We test your current product or site for usability and accessibility, then rank the problems by how much they hurt users.

02

User research

Short interviews and tests with real users, and analytics read for the places people drop off.

03

Wireframes and flows

Every key task drawn step by step in grey, so the logic is agreed before the styling starts.

04

Clickable prototype

A Figma prototype that users and your team click through, on a laptop and on a phone.

05

UI design

Screens in your brand, with every state drawn: empty, loading, error and success.

06

Design system

Components, tokens and rules in Figma, matched to the code, so new screens stay consistent.

How it runs

Four steps to screens that work.

01

Understand

Goals, users and the current product, from interviews, analytics and an audit.

02

Structure

Flows and wireframes for the key tasks, reviewed with you and tested with a few users.

03

Design

The interface in your brand, every state included, as a clickable prototype.

04

Hand off

A design system and annotated files, plus time with the developers during the build.

Several languages

Can you design interfaces for several languages?

Yes. Text length changes from one language to another, German labels run long, and Arabic reads right to left, which mirrors the whole layout. We design components that stretch, wrap and flip, and test the key screens in the longest language and in the right-to-left one before handoff.

That saves a round of fixes later, when a translated button no longer fits or a right-to-left page falls apart.

Your product

Show us the screen users get stuck on.

Send a link or a few screenshots. In two working days one of the founders writes back with what we would test first.

Questions

Asked about design.

What do UI/UX design services include?

UI/UX design services plan how a digital product works (UX) and how it looks (UI), from research and wireframes to visual design, prototypes and a design system. yop delivers them for apps, SaaS products and websites.

UX design is about how a product works: its flows, its structure, its content. UI design is about how it looks: typography, colour, layout, components. Easy-to-use products get both right.

yop prices design as a fixed price per phase, such as an audit, a set of flows or a full design system, agreed after a short discovery call.

An audit needs a few days, at most two weeks. Designing a product’s key flows and interface usually takes several weeks, longer for large products with many roles.

Figma files with every screen and state, a clickable prototype, and a design system with components and notes for developers. All files belong to your company.

Yes. yop designs to WCAG 2.2 AA: contrast, focus states, text sizes, labels and keyboard use are checked before handoff.

Yes. The Build and Web floors build apps, SaaS products and websites from the same files, so no detail gets lost between design and code.
