Customer portal development. Self-service that works.

Customer portal development builds a secure website where your customers or dealers log in to order, pay, download invoices and follow their requests without calling you. yop builds customer and B2B portals in Tallinn on top of the CRM and ERP you already use, so customers and staff look at the same numbers.

Customer portals

What should a customer portal include?

A customer portal should do the jobs customers now ask your team to do by phone or email: show order status, repeat an order, download an invoice or a certificate, open a support request and see its answer. Each of those, moved to the portal, gives someone back an hour of their week.

A B2B portal adds what dealers and wholesale buyers need: their own price list, a credit limit, quick ordering by product code and a history of everything they bought. The two often share one system with different roles.

  • Login and roles. Customers, dealers and staff each see their own data, with two-factor login.
  • Orders. Catalogue, customer prices, quick reorder and order tracking.
  • Documents. Invoices, delivery notes, contracts and certificates in one place.
  • Requests. Tickets, returns and service visits, with status updates by email.

How it runs

Four steps to the first login.

01

Pick the use case

Orders, invoices or support: the job that would save the most calls goes first.

02

Prototype

Clickable screens with your own products and documents, tried out with two or three real customers.

03

Build and connect

The portal, its roles and the link to your CRM or ERP, built on a staging copy.

04

Launch

Customers invited in waves, a short guide, and support through the first weeks.

Security

What keeps a customer portal secure?

Every portal yop builds has two-factor login, roles that decide who sees what, encrypted connections and an audit log of who changed what. Customer data stays in your database, hosted in the EU when you need it to be, and our access is removed when the project ends unless you ask us to stay for support.

The portal follows GDPR by default: customers can see and download their own data, and you decide how long documents are kept.

Your portal

Count the calls, then build the portal.

Tell us what customers call or email about most often. In two working days one of the founders writes back with the first portal feature we would build.

Questions

Asked about portals.

What does customer portal development cover?

Customer portal development is building a secure web application where customers log in to manage orders, invoices, documents and support requests themselves. yop builds customer and B2B portals connected to the CRM and ERP a company already uses.

A customer portal focuses on service: orders, invoices and support. A B2B portal adds wholesale features such as customer-specific prices, credit limits and fast ordering for dealers. Plenty of portals serve both groups, each with its own role.

Features, user roles and the systems it links to decide the price. yop prices the first use case as a fixed price after a short workshop, then adds features in phases.

A first version with one use case is often live within a few months. Each further feature is planned and priced as its own phase.

Yes. Through their APIs we link portals to CRMs, ERPs, accounting and e-invoicing tools, so customers and staff see one set of data.

All of it belongs to your company: code, database and hosting account, registered in your name before launch. yop works in them as a guest.

Yes, for the questions it can answer: order status, invoice copies, documents and simple how-tos. Requests that need a person still arrive, but with the order number and history attached.
